The former leader of the provincial NDP will be back in the race for a seat during the next BC election.

Carole James has made good on her promise to run in the next B.C. election, standing up as the lone candidate during an NDP nomination meeting yesterday for the riding of Victoria Beacon-Hill.

Since 2005 James has held the seat. She led the provincial NDP until last December when internal dissent within the party forced her out.

B.C.’s next election is scheduled for May 2013.
