No one hurt in single vehicle accident

Nelson Fire Department, B.C. Ambulance and RCMP all responded to a single-vehicle accident south of Nelson Monday afternoon.

At approximately 4 p.m. a late model Ford Fiesta traveling north to on Highway 6 left the road and came a stop on its roof eight kilometers south of Nelson.

A man in his 30’s walked away from the vehicle but was taken to Kootenay Lake Hospital for precautionary procedures.

Commuters heading home from work were delayed briefly while a wrecker pulled the car from the ditch.

RCMP continues to investigate the accident.
