Japan issues tsunami warning after 6.5-magnitude earthquake
Japan’s ravaged cost could be in for another hit.
A magnitude 6.5 earthquake struck northeastern Japan at 7:24 a.m. local time on Sunday, the Japan Meteorological Agency reported on its website.
The agency issued a tsunami advisory late on Sunday, saying a wave of up to one metre could reach the Pacific coast of the region.
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said there would be no tsunami advisories issued for the United States or the coast of B.C.
