FLIKS presents Genie Award Winner and Academy Award short-listed Incendies at the Capitol Theatre.

Fresh from its Genie win, and being short-listed as best foreign film at the Academy Awards, Denis Villeneuve’s Incendies shifts back and forth in time between the parallel journeys of a mother and her twins.  

After their mother Nawal’s death, Montreal-based twins Simon and Jeanne embark on a journey to the Middle East that shines a disturbing light on their mother’s past and culminates in a shocking revelation. 

Following Villeneuve’s Polytechnique, Incendies continues his exploration into characters who are faced with extraordinary circumstances and who respond with extraordinary resilience and love.

Brimming with gripping performances and outstanding cinematography, Incendies is a must-see.

Rated PG. Run time 130 minutes.
