Seventh annual day on the trail
This year the Slocan Valley Heritage Trail Society returns to where they started.
They will be hosting their Seventh Annual Day on the Trail on Sunday, Feb. 6 from noon-2 p.m. on the Slocan Valley Rail Trail just north of the Slocan Narrows Ancient Village, a recognized archeological site on the Slocan River.
It’s a well known area from where the trumpeteer and tundra swans that winter over on the Slocan River can be viewed. It can be found aproximately two kilometres north of the Lemon Creek Trailhead.
Join the directors of the Society around the bonfire for hot chocolate and refreshments at this popular annual event.
For more information cal them at 1-888-683-SVRT or 250-355-2397.
Donations for the volunteer society are always gratefully accepted.
