CBT-Community Initiatives and Affected Areas Program
The CIP/AAP are funding programs designed to help address the needs of Basin communities. The programs are flexible and able to accommodate individual processes and they incorporate community-based funding decisions to better meet local priorities.
The process has begun and applications are being invited for the Community Initiative and Affected Areas programs (CIP/AAP) — the Columbia Basin Trust’s oldest programs.
Community Initiatives Program funds are allocated on a per capita funding formula. Affected Areas Funding uses a combination of per capita and lump sum finding formula.
Funds are distributed once a year to CBT’s local government partners: the regional districts of Central Kootenay, East Kootenay and Kootenay Boundary, and the City of Revelstoke, Town of Golden, Village of Valemount and Ktunaxa Nation Council.
