(September 24th, 2019)

Elsa Christina Skoglund was born to Anna and Gustaf Skoglund on April 20, 1917 in Hilltop, Manitoba. She was the third youngest of seven children.

On October 7, 1936, she married Floyd Wilson and in 1951 with their three children in tow, they left Manitoba for British Columbia and settled on a homestead on the shores of the Arrow Lakes near Needles, B.C.

Over the years, they lived at Emerald Townsite (above Salmo), Robson, Sooke and then finally settled in Nelson, B.C.

Elsa was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother and the pillar of her family. She gave guidance, strength, and her knowledge of life and was a wonderful story teller. She was also the glue that bonded everyone together.

She was predeceased by her parents and all of her siblings, as well as her husband Floyd in 1987. She is survived by her three children, Anne Secord, Gil (Carole) Wilson, and Ralph (Marilyn) Wilson, as well as her eight grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and twelve great-great-grandchildren.

She will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by her family and loved ones. You are invited to leave a personal message of condolence.
