Helen Legebokoff

1943 ~ 2016

The family of Helen Legebokoff sadly announces her passing on July 20, 2016 at Mountain Lakes Care Facility in Nelson, BC.  Helen was blessed with 73 years of life.  Helen was born April 29, 1943 in Krestova and had fond memories growing up there.

At a young age, she started working in the fruit industry, picking strawberries in Creston.  She also worked at Willowhaven Care Home before accepting a job at Naramata Fruit Co-Op.  She worked there until her retirement.  Helen took great pride in every job she undertook.  She enjoyed living in the Okanagan, working and socializing with friends, co-workers and family.  Helen moved back to the Kootenay’s in 2014 to be with her family.  She was passionate about life and cherished her family and close friends.  Helen was also kind and considerate to all.  She passed away peacefully with family by her side.  Helen will be dearly missed and never forgotten.  She was pre-deceased by her parents Mike and Annie Legebokoff, brother in law George Perepolkin and grand nephew Morgan Perepolkin.

She is survived by her sister Vera Perepolkin, brother Mike (Diane) Legebokoff, as well as nieces and nephews, Shirley (Fred) Markin, Clayton, Dylan; Elaine Perepolkin, Willie (Luz) Perepolkin, Brooke, Megan; Carl (Lauriel), Perepolkin, Hunter; Kari (Dan) Makortoff, Katrina, Alyssa and Lara; Loreen Legebokoff (Paul Messerli), cousin Anabelle McKimmle and close friend Anne Hadikin.

Rest in peace our dearly loved sister and aunt.
