James Heuston (Captain Jim)

Jim Heuston, a long time resident of Balfour, BC died peacefully at home on February 2, 2018. Jim will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his years of service on the Kootenay Lake Ferry and his loyalty to country, serving in WWII.
Jim was predeceased by his amazing Wife, May Heuston; Parents: James A and Nanni A. Heuston; Granddaughter: Kelly A. Balde.
Jim leaves behind his three sons: Scott (Linda), Martin (Christie) and Allan Heuston; Grandchildren: Marc (Carrie), Garry (Sophia), Reanne (Cam) Heuston, Courtney Heuston and Christopher Balde. He is also survived by his special friend, Joan Lang.
An open house celebration of life will be held Sunday, February 11, 2018 at the Balfour Seniors Hall from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.
