Heslip, Myrtle Agnes

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear sweet momma, Myrtle Agnes Heslip.

Mom passed away at Kootenay Lake Hospital on December 13, 2020 after suffering a fall a few days earlier. We were by her side as she peacefully passed on.

Myrt was born February 22, 1922 to Jessie and Frank Hufty. She was their only daughter. She also had 3 brothers Charles, Les and Frankie.

Myrt married the love of her life, James Eric Heslip on February 9th, 1944. They were just days away from celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary when Dad passed away.

Together, they were blessed with 3 children. Jerry, Doug (Norah), and Cathy (Larry). Mom is survived by the three of us, along with 5 amazing grandchildren, Tammi, Scott, Brent, Stacey and Jamie.

And her most precious great grandbabies Kellan, Logan, Bella, Ayla, Ellsie and Mateo.

We would like to thank everyone at Lakeview Village for helping to care for Mom over the last couple of years.

Thank you to the paramedics, the emergency staff, the doctors and the 3rd floor nursing staff for helping care for Mom over the last few days of her life.
