Chandler, Luke

June 13, 1971 – February 27, 2017

Luke died in a tragic canoeing accident on Westwood Lake. He is survived by his parents, Mark McPhail and Jean Chandler, and by his siblings, Joel McPhail and Rommillie McPhail. Extended family and a multitude of friends share the loss of his presence here on earth.

Luke was a shining light in the lives of everyone he met. Funny, joyful, sincere, dramatic; he reached into the hearts of his acquaintances and made instant friendships that lasted for the remainder of his life.

He is known in the Nanaimo Ultimate Association as the player whose expertise is in every position on the field as well as in game strategy. He established E-Scape Garden Services and had many loyal clients who became friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Sunday, March 19, 2017 in the chapel of the Bethlehem Centre, 2371 Arbot Road, Nanaimo.
