Evelyn Margaret Cartlidge — 4/19/34 to 01/09/2020.
Evelyn was predeceased by her husband – Ted Cartlidge, mother – Louise Hagan, step father – Herbert Hagan, father – James Thomson, brother- Kenneth Thomson, sister- Lillian Honeysett and grandson- Michael Meyer.
Evelyn had many loves in her life, besides her family, her biggest was hockey. She missed very few Maple Leaf games and was fondly know as the “Cookie Lady”. She had a passion for travel, painting, quilting, knitting, crocheting and gardening. She had her own tour company “Evelyn’s Tours” which she very much enjoyed. She started a group in Nelson for people with Parkinson’s.
She just overall enjoyed helping other. Evelyn loved life to the fullest and was never too busy to stop and say hello.
She is survived by daughters- Laura Leach(Michael), Debra Hucul(Gale), Charlene Poty(Len), Son Shawn(Robin), grandchildren Garry Walgren, Daryl Walgren, Andrew Potter, Kristopher Meyer, Jason Skerik, Tyler Skerik, Erin Reeves, Tyler Reeves, Angela Poty, Jeremy Poty, Colby Cartlidge and Tyson Cartlidge. There are also numerous great grand children and great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
There will be a celebration of life to be announced at a later date.
