Campbell, Ina Bernice

(June 24th, 2020)

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Ina Bernice Campbell, with family by her side.

Ina was born July 4, 1932 in Grand Forks, BC to Harold and Nellie Liness.

At a young age the family moved to Nelson where she grew up learning to bake and sew. She was active in playing ball (breaking a few windows in the school yard) and was a very good bowler; she even became good at playing Wii bowling with her great grandchildren.

It was in Nelson she met the love of her life, Gordon Campbell and they were married March 7, 1953, spending fifty years together, raising five children Ken, Debra (John), Ron (Wendy), Nancy (Brian) and BettyAnne )Greg) including grandkids and great grandkids.

Mom loved her open door policy for family and friends to come for a cup of tea, a game of cards, scrabble or just a visit for homemade cookies or a slice of warm bread…knowing when you leave you will be getting a hug.

Mom’s talent for knitting afghans and sewing Raddedy Anne & Andy’s was amazing. She loved making the dolls for family and friends. She wanted to have a doll for every member of the family including all nieces & nephews and their growing families.

Ina is survived by her five children and their families, sister Myrtle Falys (Cranbrook, BC), brother Jim Liness (Prince George, BC), sister-in-law Marion Campbell (London, Ontario) and many nieces and nephews.

Ina is now at peace in Heavens Hug with her parents, husband, brothers, sisters and friends.

The family would like to thank Salmo Valley Estates, Columbia View Lodge, Homecare, Doctors, Nurses and family and friends for the care and love she was given.

Mom never wanted a service, so make yourself a cup of tea, share a hug and keep a memory in your heart.

We hope she won’t be making a nuisance of herself on her new journey.
Love and miss you ♡
