Iris Margaret Beauchamp (VALENTINE)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Iris Margaret Beauchamp on August 3rd 2018. Iris was born to David and Ivin Valentine on June 25th 1935 in Nelson, BC. Iris lived in Nelson all of her life and worked at the Royal Bank for 28 years, during that time she took 11 years off work to raise her 3 children, Daughter Ila of Kelowna, Steve of Nelson, and Ken of Kelowna.
During her high school years, she was very athletic. She was on the Nelson Bomberettes basketball team, and took the team to the provincial playoffs in Vancouver. Iris enjoyed the outdoors, and especially playing golf with Bud. Travelling was a big love of hers too. Iris and Bud would travel all over North America, but especially in BC. Her favorite place to travel was the American South West. She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting, and over the years made some very nice pieces.
Iris was predeceased by her parents and her brother. She is survived by her Husband Bud, her 3 children, and her grandchildren Courtney and Michael.
