Langlois, Elaine

We are so deeply saddened to announce the passing of Elaine Langlois. Elaine was born in Alert Bay on June 13th 1946. She was the eldest of three daughters and grew up in a logging camp run by her father and uncles. She often reminisced about her childhood memories and compiled these stories in addition to family poems and pictures with plans for a published book.

It is with great sadness to announce the passing of our dad and grandpa on January 3, 2017.

He was a loving, active man that loved hunting, hiking, cross country skiing, gardening and joining friends for coffee at the A&W and Sidewinders.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden and peaceful passing of our dear beloved father, husband, grandfather, uncle and friend on Christmas Day at Kootenay Lake Hospital.

For a brief time his family was able to see the funny, charming and gracious man that we love so dearly.

Loomer, Lorne Kenneth

Lorne Kenneth Loomer

Lorne Kenneth Loomer — father, grandfather, friend, artist, teacher, mentor, athlete, Olympic gold medalist and exceptional human - died at the age of 79 on New Year's Day.

Predeceased by his beloved wife, Elisabeth, Lorne is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his daughters Lise-Lotte (Tereus), Anne-Lise (Darren), his grandchildren Chloe, Ilse, Nouria, Magnus and by his many friends.

Lorne graduated from Nelson High School in 1954.

Darough, Joan Ola Marion

Joan Ola Marion Darough

It is with sadness we announce the passing of Joan Ola Marion Darough on December 30, 2016 in Kelowna, BC.  Born in Westlock, Alberta on May 22, 1935.

Joan grew up in Vernon, BC, where she married Bud Darough in 1955, and her two children Lorie & Glen were born.  The family moved to North Vancouver in 1961 and then to Nelson in 1970. 

Bonderoff, Anne

Anne Bonderoff

January 23, 1930 – December 30, 2016

Anne Bonderoff passed away peacefully at Mountain Lakes Senior Community.

Anne was born in Blaine Lake, Saskatchewan then moved and lived in Slocan Park, BC with her parents in her early years.  After meeting and marrying John Bonderoff in 1950, she moved to Salmo, BC where they lived the remainder of their lives.
