Evdokimoff, Shirley Anne (Markin)

February 1st, 1946 – October 17, 2016

Shirley passed away suddenly and peacefully Monday October 17th at the Castleview Care Centre in Castlegar, B.C.  Shirley will be remembered for her passions such as cooking, baking, sewing, craftwork, and gardening.  Shirley loved her family and always made her family her top priority.

Shirley was a social butterfly who loved to laugh, to joke around, and to surround herself with positive people as much as she could.

Dukart, Duane Edward

Duane Edward Dukart was born on July 19th, 1962 in Nelson, BC and passed away on October 15, 2016 in Edmonton, Alberta at the age of 54.

He is survived by his children Jeffrey, Dylan (Nicole), Kristin and Amanda, grandchildren Lily and Dante, mother Patricia (Cliff), sister Brenda (Neil), brother David, brother in law Jim as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. He is predeceased by his father Kenneth Dukart and sister Tracy Wicklum.

VERILYN VERNA LEE, musician and piano teacher, died peacefully on Oct. 11, 2016 at Nelson Jubilee Manor. Born in Nanaimo on Feb. 12,1934, to Verna and Arvo Mackie, Verilyn is survived by daughter, Catherine D. Lee and sister, Dorothy (Alistair)Fraser, niece, Cynthia, nephew Alistair (Susi) and great-nephew, Finn, as well as many cousins.

"Richard" passed away peacefully on Sept 23, 2016 at Mountain Lakes Seniors Home in Nelson with family at his side.

Rich was born in Nelson on Sept 30, 1928 and lived his entire life in his beloved Nelson. He obtained a Law degree at UBC and practiced Law in Nelson at Hamilton, Brown, Nasmyth and Co.  

De Calvares, Marco Juan

Marco passed away September 26th 2016 in his home where he wanted to be.  He was born on February 4th 1930 in Austria.  He is survived by his loving wife Theresa De Calvares, his two sons Manfred and Marco with wife Jodi, and his three grand children, Hendrik, Sierra, and Drake.

Marco was long time member at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Kaslo where the service will be held Saturday, October 8th at 10:00 a.m.
