Even a little rain could not dampen the spirit of the zombies as the students at Wildflower school awoke from the dead for the annual flash mob walk on Baker Street.

Approximately 75 students, staff and parents from the Uphill-based school dressed as zombies brought Michael Jackson’s Thriller to the delight of a large crowd.

The flash mob performance, during the noon hour on Baker Street, was a hit with the lunchtime crowd as camera phones were clicking and videos were rolling to capture the performance from the two schools in Kootenay Lake School District.

Wildflower provides a multi-age learning environment that is personalized and challenges students to achieve their best personal results.

Saturday the annual Zombie walk takes over the downtown core of Nelson, starting from the Civic Theatre.

Monday in the Hall Street Plaza, Green Halloween celebration welcomes adults and children as either an alternative or add-on to trick-or-treating downtown.
