Vancouver parking company waives tickets for toys

A Vancouver parking company, Impark, is getting into the Christmas spirit for drivers with unpaid tickets.
Impark is offering a four-hour window to waive unpaid parking tickets for drivers who donate a toy to the Salvation Army.
The window of opportunity is between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m. PT at the Salvation Army at 555 Homer Street in Vancouver.
Impark said the company will be accepting new, unused and unwrapped toys, and in exchange, the donor’s unpaid parking violation notice will be waived.
“A single toy donated will waive a single unpaid violation notice,” the Impark release said.
The toys must be new and unwrapped, and should be of “equal value” to the parking ticket, says Impark. It’s not clear how the toys’ value will be assessed.
Specific toy and gift needs include, but are not limited to; puzzles, books, gift cards (for movies, retail, iTunes, etc.), sports equipment, and Lego.
Gifts appropriate for teens are particularly appreciated.
The toys will be distributed to families in need.
