Truck accident west of Nelson slows early morning commute
Highway 3A/6 approximately 10 kilometers west of Nelson was reduced to single-lane traffic early Saturday morning after a pickup truck left the road near Taghum Shell Convenience Store.
The truck with at least one occupant skidded off the highway before 6 a.m., ending up in the ditch at the base of the rock bluff.
First responders from Beasley Fire Rescue were joined by Nelson Fire Rescue, BC Ambulance and RCMP attended the accident scene.
Beasley Fire Rescue and Nelson Fire Rescue used emergency equipment to remove the driver, who was transported to hospital, from the vehicle
Dr. Nic Sparrow also attended the accident. The accident remains under investigation.
