Trafalgar Thunder sweep medals at West Kootenay Volleyball Championships

The Trafalgar Thunder captured Gold and Silver at the recent West Kootenay Grade 8 Girls Volleyball Championships at Mount Sentinel Gymnasium in South Slocan.
Trafalgar’s Team A edge their school rivals 16-14 and 15-9 in the final to capture the West Kootenay title.
Both teams went undefeated in round robin against Mount Sentinel Grand Forks, JL Crowe and Stanley Humphries.
The final was an exciting game and the best game of the tournament.
Strong serving from Maya Pearson and Paris Meisner on the B team were the reason they took A team to 14 points against A team.
Ava Moyle, Raven Sperling, Maeya Lundquist, Emma Lake and Gabby Bobby were strong servers for A team. Strong offensive skills also contributed to the win from Sola Van Donselaar, Sperling Lake and Bobby.
