Oxygen Art Centre’s third annual Kids Spring Break Art Camps are open for registration.

For two consecutive weeks, from March 14–18 and March 21–25, creative kids will be immersed in the artistic process through the exploration of several artistic disciplines.

Taught by six professional artists, the camp will introduce kids to new printmaking processes, sculptural bookmaking, drawing techniques, mask-making and character building, songwriting, and mixed-media explorations.

Sounds like fun? Join Oxygen’s inspired instructors Anita Levesque for drawing and painting, Fiona Brown for alternative bookmaking, Jessie Demers for sculpture, Rhoneil Eurchuck for songwriting and printmaking, Krista Lynch for drama and mask making, and Charlotte Erlandsson for mixed-media.

Week 1 and week 2 will be offer completely different courses as instructors will rotate groups from one week to the next.

Classes are divided into four age-based groups. Every day the 5-6’s are from 9-11 a.m., at Oxygen, followed by the 7-9’s from 12-3 p.m. Oxygen Art Centre is located at 320 Vernon, alley entrance.

The older kids classes will attend their classes at the Selkirk College KSA campus at 606 Victoria. The 10-12 age group is from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. followed by the 13-16 year-olds from 1-4 p.m.
