Sport Stacking extraordinaire Sascha MacMillan solid at Worlds

Sport Stacking extraordinaire Sascha MacMillan of South Slocan recently returned from Jeonju, South Korea with a 12th overall place finish in the boy’s division at the Sport Stacking Championships.
MacMillan, 11, was one of 300 athletes from 18 countries competing in the individuals, doubles and relays during two days of competing.
MacMillan, a member of Team Canada who discovered Sport Stacking on YouTube, finished as the top Canadian in the Male Individual Combined 3-3-3, 3-6-3 and cycle stack category.
The event was won by Josh Hainsel of USA.
Sport stacking, which is also known as cup stacking or speed stacking, is an individual and team sport that involves stacking specialized plastic cups in specific sequences.
Participants stack cups in pre-determined sequences, competing against the clock or another player.
Sequences are usually pyramids of three, six, or ten cups.
The governing body setting the rules is the WSSA (World Sport Stacking Association) with the quicker the stacking the better the stacker.
