After it was all said and done, the snowfall warning slated for Nelson did not quite reach the strength it was expected to.

Environment Canada had warned people that up to 15 centimetres of snow was expected overnight and Wednesday morning as a moist frontal system that had hovered over the coast began to move into the interior regions of BC.

The system did spread snow throughout the West Kootenay region beginning Tuesday afternoon, but the amount predicted was never achieved as only around five centimeters fell.

However, there is expected to be at least 10 millimetres of rain falling Wednesday and into Thursday afternoon while temperatures remain above freezing.
