A driver walked away unharmed after his utility truck slide into the ditch Friday afternoon during the evening rush hour on Highway 3A near Beasley.

First responders from the Beasley Fire Hall were joined by RCMP and BC Ambulance.

The driver lost control on the slippery road, sliding into the ditch and flipping the vehicle onto its roof, 750 meters west of the Beasley Fire Hall.

No one was injured.

Warmer temperatures continue into Monday in the West Kootenay region.

In Calgary, Albertans tossed off snow boots in favour of flip-flops as the mercury pushed 17 C.

The warm weather broke record temperatures — the highest on record was 13.1 C, set back in 2007.
