Silver medal for Nelson Atom Leafs

The Nelson Leafs lost to host team 8-4 at the Castlegar Minor Hockey Atom Tournament Sunday in the Sunflower City.
The Leafs finished 2-1 in round robin, defeating both Kelowna 7-2 and Cranbrook 9-3.
The result advanced Nelson as the fourth-place squad against first-place Trail Spartans. Nelson posted the upset, to advance into the final before concluding the tournament with the silver medal.
The team includes, coaches Kevin Dewar, Aaron Shrieves, Shawn Correnti and players Dax Dewar, Theo Byers-Bohigen, Sebastien Conne-Correnti , Gunner Evenson Larson Proctor, Sawan Bhabra, Cash Linnen, Kale Gerhman, Grady Groenhuysen, Eryn Dimopoulus, Leif Luttmer, Austin Shrieves and Griffin Wanhella.
