Sign of the times for Shambhala

One of the newest landmarks in the city’s downtown received a sign of approval from city council on Monday.
The city’s governing body approved an application to vary the Sign Bylaw to allow the owners of the Savoy Hotel — Shambhala Music Festival — to apply for a building permit to install a projecting sign greater in size than the city’s current bylaw.
