Selects go down to defeat against Kootenay South in U15 Gir's Soccer Playdowns

Kootenay South outscored Nelson Selects 5-2 to capture the two-game West Kootenay U15 Girl’s Soccer series Wednesday at the Lakeside Pitch.
The contest was the second in as many days for the two West Kootenay rivals.
Kootenay South opened the two-game set Tuesday at Haley Park in Warfield with a 4-1 decision over Nelson.
The teams played to a 1-1 draw Wednesday in Nelson with Riley Zondervan scoring the lone goal for Nelson.
Kootenay South now advanced to the zone final against the East Kootenay winner Friday.
The Kootenay zone is engulfed in playdowns for the upcoming Provincial B Cup. The girl’s tournaments, for ages U13 – U18, is set for July 7-10 in Penticton.
The Les Sinnott Memorial Boys Provincial Cup goes July 7-10 in West Vancouver.
