Guess whose making a special trip to the Heritage City in advance of the big day next month?

Well, Santa Claus, of course.

Santa is coming to Baker Street as part of the Nelson Business Association Customer Appreciation Day, Saturday, November 29.

Santa’s arrival, set for 6:30 p.m. on a Nelson Fire Department truck, is just one of the many events planned for the evening — which includes Family Entertainer Mr. Mojo; a performance by the Nelson Rhythm Ropers along with Live music and entertainment for the entire family.

The arrival of Santa marks the official beginning of holiday shopping season in Nelson.

After Santa arrives, children can visit with the man in the red suit from 6:45-8 p.m. in the Nelson Trading Company Mall.

There is also hot treats and holiday fun and everyone is invited to visit the more than 50 shops along Baker Street participating in Customer Appreciation Day.

Santa’s round trip from the North Pole to Nelson is being sponsored by The Nelson Daily. Com, Gaia Rising, EZ Rock, Kokanee Camera, Edward Jones — Kerry Simpson, Kootenay Co-op, Jay Marshall and Margaret Stacey.
