The Nelson Daily, a locally owned and operated online news service and proudly dedicated to the community, finally got around to handing over some cash to the Salvation Army following a successful Facebook campaign.

The campaign, which ran prior to the Christmas Holiday season, saw The Nelson Daily to make a donation to the Nelson Food Cupboard and Salvation Army Food Bank for every new like.

Fuhr and The Nelson Daily Ad Manager John McCuaig stopped by the Nelson Salvation Army location recently to present Food Bank Coorinator David Sprague and Drop In Centre Volunteer Coordinator Simone Peland with a cheque from the proceeds to help the local charity.
