Selkirk College forward Travis Herlein continues to be a force on the Saints, and for his scoring attributes, has now been recognized by the B.C. Intercollegiate Hockey League as Player of the Week.

The former Golden Rocket sniper led the Saints offensive four goals during a recent road trip through the Thompson/Okanagan.

Herlein, 21, scored twice during Selkirk’s 8-5 loss to Thompson Rivers University WolfPack.

The next night Herlein netted another pair, including goal number three that brought the Saints to within a goal in a 4-3 loss to the Okanagan Coyotes.

Herlein now leads the Saints in scoring with six goals for eight points in 10 games.

Herlein finished the 2009-10 Kootenay International Junior Hockey League season with 23 goals and 20 assists.

The Saints are idle until November 27th when the team travels to the Lower Mainland to face Trinity Western and the University of the Fraser Valley.
