Roundball Leagues headed for playoff action

Nelson Youth Soccer is entering the home stretch on the 2016 season with teams preparing for the playoffs.

In the Men’s Master League, it’s down to four teams as Bia Boro and defending champion Retallack advance to the semi final Sunday at Lakeside Pitch.

Bia Boro shutout Real Nelson 3-0 while Retallack won a slugfest against Ted Allen’s 6-5.

Retallack now meets regular season champion Red Dog Sunday at 4 p.m. in one semi final.

In the other semi Jackson’s Hole tackles Bia Boro.

The winners advance to the final Sunday October 2.

In Ladies Rec action, Dirty Dozen and Wild Cats have a bye into the semi final round Sunday after finishing in the top two spots.

In quarterfinal play Wednesday Red Dog meets Goal Diggers while Selkirk Eyecare tackle Leo’s Titans.

The winners advance to the semi final Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Lakeside Pitch.

In Men’s Open, the semi final begin Saturday with Old Dogs meeting Nelson Selects and Hume Innkeepers facing Oso Negro.

The winners advance to the final Saturday, October 1.
