Princeton RCMP hunt for armed suspect who robbed CIBC Monday

RCMP in Princeton is on the lookout for an armed male who robbed the CIBC Monday afternoon.

Police received a call at 2:50 p.m. Monday (December 1) of a robbery at the CIBC located at 226 Bridge Street.

The initial investigation suggests that a lone male suspect entered the bank, brandished a handgun and demanded money before fleeing the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

A Police Service Dog established a track but the suspect could not be located.
 
The suspect is described as:

  • Caucasian male
  • late 20’s to early 30’s
  • 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet (178 cm to 183 cm)
  • sandy hair and medium athletic build
  • wearing a black Canucks toque, black sunglasses, a dark jacket, dark cargo pants, brown loafer shoes and gloves
  • Investigators are seeking public assistance in identifying the suspect
