For all those hockey fans who at Christmas had the Pittsburgh Penguins winning the franchise’s fourth Stanley Cup championship in six games, please step to the front of the line.

The Pens complete the rags to riches ride with a 3-1 victory over the San Jose Sharks in Game 6 Sunday at SAP Center.

The Stanley Cup win was Pittsburgh’s fourth title and first since 2009, when Conn Smyth winner, Sidney Crosby won his first title.

Crosby two assists in the Cup-clinching Game 6 as the Penquins, who clinched all four of Cups, including this one, on the road.

Rookie goalie Matt Murray, winner with a fine 18-save performance, matched the NHL record for wins in the post-season by a rookie goaltender (15), also improving to 6-0 in games that followed a loss.

Defenceman Brian Dumoulin, Kris Letang and Patric Hornqvist, into an empty-net, scored for Pittsburgh.

Logan Couture, who tie the game at 1-1 in the second, scored the lone goal for San Jose.
