Nelson Toyota, Empire Coffee advance to WKMBL Semi Finals

Nelson Toyota and Empire Coffee booked tickets to the semi final round after posting wins on opening night of playoff action in the West Kootenay Men’s Basketball League Monday at the L.V. Rogers Hangar.
Chris Kalesnikoff and Clay Rickaby combined for 41 points to lead Empire Coffee to a 100-42 victory Selkirk College.
Empire, winners of the North Division with an 8-1 record, took the play to Selkirk from the opening tip.
Kalesnikoff led all scorers with 21 points while Rickaby added 20. Joel DeVito added 15 and Ryan Moore 12 while Florian Joseph had 10.
