Nelson Terry Fox Run raises more than $15K

Returning from a pandemic hiatus, the Nelson Terry Fox Run raised more than $15,000 from its 2022 event Sunday at Rotary Lakeside Park.

Hosted by the Kootenay Rhythm Dragons, Sunday’s run attracted approximately 135 participants and raised $15,835 for cancer research.

Organizers said the Nelson run was something to behold as many families several facing personal challenges, participated in the event.

Prior to the 10 kilometre walk, run, bike or jog, participants of the 2022 Nelson Terry Fox Run had a brief warmup.
