Nelson Police make arrest in Baker Street burglary

Nelson Police have made an arrest of a man after three Baker Street businesses were burglarized last week.
Nelson Police Sergeant Corey Hoy said in a media release Tuesday the man is not a resident of Nelson.
“(Monday) at approximately (4 p.m.), the Nelson Police Department arrested a male for all three incidents,” Hoy said.
“The male is known to police to be transient and is not a Nelson resident having only being in the Nelson area for the past few months.”
The incident happened in the early hours of Tuesday, June 13. NPD was called after a report of a commercial break and enter on Baker Street.
Hoy said at the time, it was determined that three businesses in the same complex had been broken into and various items had been removed.
