Nelson firefighters perform rope rescue near Mountain Lake Seniors Home

Nelson Fire Rescue was called to perform a rope rescue near Mountain Lake Seniors Home on 11th Street in Fairview after an elderly woman fell down a steep bank Thursday afternoon.
Assistant Chief Michael Daloise said in a media release dispatch was contacted shortly after 2 p.m. that a woman had fallen approximately 40 feet down a bank.
