Nathan Small of Nelson recently earned another spot at a provincial qualifying tournament.

Small, competing on a rink based in Kelowna, successfully earned a spot at the BC Provincial Mixed Curing finals in Abbotsford at the beginning of April.

The Sebastien Robillard rink from Maple Ridge earned a spot at the upcoming tournament. The team consists of Robillard, third Karla Thompson, and lead Amanda Guido, the latter two members from Kamloops.

Thompson represented BC at the 2016 Scotties Tournament of Hearts and also competed in the 2017 Canadian Olympic Curling Trials for a chance to represent Canada at the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea.

This is Small’s third Provincial qualification this season as he already qualified for the 2020 BC Men’s Provincial Championship in January with a Men’s team out of Penticton as well as his Mixed Doubles team with Nelson local Kristina Little was successful in qualifying for the 2020 BC Mixed Doubles Provincial Championship that takes place next week in Hope.
