Missing 72-year-old man found unharmed by Nelson Search and Rescue

Nelson Police are reporting the 72-year-old man missing since Friday night has been found by Nelson Search and Rescue.

Search and Rescue found 72-year-old Donald Trithart  Saturday shortly before noon near the Chahko Mika Mall.

Trithart, who was not injured, was last heard from at approximately 10 p.m. Friday.

Nelson Police would like to thank the public and Nelson Search and Rescue for assistance in bringing this matter to a positive result.

NPD asks for public assistance in locating 72-year-old Donald Trithart 

The Nelson Police Department has put out a request for public assistance in locating 72-year-old Donald Trithart.

NPD is concerned that Trithart may need medical attention.

Trithart, who regularly frequents the downtown area, is described as approximately 5”6” and 175 pounds with grey hair and blue eyes, he walks with a cane and is usually wearing a black  three-quarter-length coat. 

He was last heard from at approximately 10 p.m. on Friday (October 10) evening.

Anyone has who heard from Trithart after 10 p.m. Friday is asked to please call Nelson Police (250-354-3919) and report the circumstances.
