Man faces charges after breaching curfew
A 27-year-old man faces charges of breach of Recognizance and possession of a Controlled Substance after being spotted by police Thursday (April 13) evening.
Sergeant Dino Falcone said in a Nelson Police Department media release the man was observed in the downtown core by officers on a routine control that was outside his residence past his 9 p.m. curfew.
“Upon his arrest, the 27 year-old male was found in possession of what police believe is methamphetamine,” Falcone explained.
“He was charged with one (1) count of breach of Recognizance and one (1) count of possession of a Controlled Substance.”
Falcone said the man was later released on a Promise to Appear and scheduled to attend Nelson Provincial Court on June 27, 2017.
