LVR Bombers one win away from Provincial Title

The L.V. Rogers Bombers will play for the BC High School AA Boy’s Tier II Division Championship after outlasting Hugh Roberts of Richmond 15-10 in semi final action Thursday in Abbotsford.
The final goes Saturday at 11 a.m. when the Kootenay Champs meet Robert Bateman of Abbotsford.
Robert Bateman defeated Sir Charles Tupper of Vancouver 27-20 in the other semi final Thursday.
LVR opened the tournament by bouncing D.W. Poppey of Langley 41-14.
“This will be our best result ever,” said LVR coach Michael Joyce on the team’s Facebook page.
“We will try our best Saturday to bring a banner home to LVR.”
“We are now 14-0 this season,” Joyce added.
“One more game and we are perfect. Oh, and Provincial Champions.”
