Pink Shirt Day, organized by David Shepherd and Travis Price of Berwick, Nova Scotia, began in 2007 when the pair bought and distributed 50 pink shirts after boy in Grade 9, Jadrien Cota was bullied for wearing a pink shirt during the first day of school.
