Letter: Please Help Civic Theatre in Nelson

To The Editor:
The Civic Theatre in Nelson is entering the last 24 hours of the This Place Matters Campaign, and have just been pushed to second place by another contestant who added a large gift to their tally.
We are now 3,000 votes behind and need a real push in this final leg to come out on top. There is only one $40,000 prize, so there is plenty at stake.
With only 24 hours until the contest closes, we need to raise another $3,000 to win the fundraising competition’s grand prize of $40,000. Please give now to The Civic’s campaign to reopen access to their historic stage at thisplacematters.ca.
All donors will receive charitable receipts for their gifts.
The money will be used to restore and reanimate The Civic Theatre Historic Stage in Nelson BC.
Thank you all so much for your help – we have achieved so much in the last six weeks, and much of it is because of the support we have received from local media.
