To The Editor:
Nelson’s new Kootenay food co-op and condo development needs a new store entrance.
I feel the entrance to the Co-op is likely illegal and is an accident waiting. The project manager for this new building and city should be asked to pay for a new entrance or create a barrier that prevents an accident.
There was very little consideration for public safety with a automatic door that opens directly to alley traffic. Drivers have no way of knowing when a child will bolt out the door and be in harms way.
I encourage directors of this company to please make the exit/entrance less of a hazard for innocent shoppers and their precious children.
