Junior Bombers continue to search for hardwood wins

The L.V. Rogers Bombers continue to search for victory number one of the BC Junior  Boy’s Basketball season after dropping a 48-40 loss to Barriere at the  Rattlers Invitational Tournament Saturday in Osoyoos.

Leading 12-11 after one period and 28-21 at the half, the Bombers watched as the Central Interior squad chipped away at the lead before taking pulling even 41-41 early in the fourth period.

Barriere then outscored the Bombers 7-0 in the quarter to steal the victory.

LVR Game Star Jairo Mangapot and Ben Hradil-Kasseckert scored 14 and 10 points, respectively, to lead the Bombers.

Thomas Baxter and David Hu had five while Josh Jolicoeur and Dylan Luscombe each added four points.

LVR opened the tournament falling to host Osoyoos 65-32.

Game Star Baxter led the Bombers with 10 points. Hu added five points.

LVR lost 77-29 to Merritt Panthers.

Game Star Tyler Colgan led the Bombers attack.

LVR returns to action Friday when the team meets Mount Sentinel at the Stanley Humphries Junior Rockers Tournament.

The Bombers play Boundary Central from Midway before closing out the tournament against host Stanley Humphries Saturday.
