Hume Innkeepers and Jackson’s Hole made it look easy, waltzing to back-to-back titles as the Nelson Youth Soccer Adult League concluded the season during the weekend.

The playoff weekend culminated the outdoor roundball season as Mallard’s Men’s Open, Jackson’s Hole Masters and Nelson Star Ladies Rec – Ww Wild Cats outlasted Red Dod in extra time — crowned respective champions.

In the Mallard’s Men’s Open, Hume dominated a short-handed Old Dogs squad, scoring early and often en route to an 8-2 victory.

Old Dogs were missing many of their key players to injury or work commitments.

Hume defeated Nelson Selects 3-0 in semifinal play while Old Dogs outlasted Oso Negro 4-3 to advance to the championship.

In the Jackson’s Hole Men’s Masters Final, Jackson’s Hole jumped all over Real Nelson, taking an early 2-0 lead.

Jackson’s Hole then broke open the close encounter, outscoring Real Nelson 7-1 to claim the title for the second consecutive season.

Jackson’s Hole edged Bia Boro 2-1, in semifinal play, and Ted Allen’s 7-5 in quarterfinal action, to advance to the final.

Real Nelson blasted Retallack 6-1 in semifinal action.

Ww Wild Cats edged defending champion Red Dog in a thrilling final to capture the Nelson Star Ladies Rec title.

Ww Wild Cats dumped Dirty Dozen 6-2 to advance to Sunday’s final while Red Dog edged Yom Chi Ninjas 3-2.
