Black Productions and Selkirk College Contemporary Music and Technology program are proud to present HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH (Winner of the 2014 Best Musical Revival Tony Award).

The play is starring Bessie Wapp and Sydney Black and Directed by Pat Henman.

Heartbreaking and wickedly funny, this incredibly entertaining show has captured the hearts of theatre-goers the world over.

HEDWIG will be presented February 12th-14th, 19th-21st and 26th-28th at 7:30pm at SHAMBHALA HALL, Tenth St. Campus in Nelson, B.C.

Hedwig and the Angry Inch is a musical comedy that tells the story of a fictional rock ‘n’ roll band, fronted by Hedwig, an “internationally ignored song stylist” from East Berlin who has survived a botched sex change operation.

Brilliantly innovative and raucously entertaining, Hedwig has inspired a generation with its story of love, acceptance, fury and freedom. The show was called “the Best Rock Musical Ever” by Rolling Stone and “the most exciting rock score written for the theatre since, oh, ever,” by Time Magazine.

Tickets are $25 for adults and $20 for students (plus applicable taxes and fees) and are available at the Capitol Theatre Box office, www.capitoltheatre.bc.ca or by calling 250-352-6363.
