It’s time for Nelson’s young actors to shine on the stage at the Capitol Theatre in summer production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

The Andrew Lloyd Webber musical is set to play at the Capitol Theatre beginning Thursday at 7:30 p.m. There is also evening shows Friday and Saturday along with a matinee Saturday at 2 p.m.

Quinn Barron plays Joseph in this dazzling, family-friendly story with Julia Halbert and Emma Chart — the latter in 2015 played Mary Poppins — are the co-Narrators while Kosmo Sammartino is Jacob and Relmu Wilson-Valdez Levi.

The story is based on the “coat of many colors” story of Joseph from the Bible’s Book of Genesis. The show has little spoken dialogue; it is completely sung-through.

The 28th annual Nelson Youth Theatre production is directed by Geoff Burns, with Allison Girvan the music director and choreographed by Lynette Lightfoot.

Tickets are available at the Capitol Theatre Box Office or online.
