The eight-piece Freak Motif is set to play The Royal Inn Saturday (November 9) starting at 8 p.m.

Freak Motifis is a dance party funk hiphop collective from Calgary that features a full horn section, mcs, singers and djs for a heavy night of improvised funk, trance, hiphop and soul.

Their unique vibe is influenced by artists such as the Meters, the Roots, Parliament/Funkadelic, Phish, Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, and the Budos Band.

Freak Motif brings funk, hip hop, reggae and soul to life in improvised live shows featuring break dancers, live graffiti art, a horn section, and emcees. Audiences are inspired to get off that thing and dance.

Tickets are $10 and are available at the door.

Freak Motif isn’t a band, it is a revolution!
