It’s difficult to think it’s time to ski or ride with no snow in the valley, but that all changes Friday, December 8th as Whitewater Ski Resort opens operation on the 2017-18 campaign.

“The Silver King, new Summit quad, and Hummer Handle Tow lifts will be spinning, and our five kilometers of Multi-Use Nordic trails will be ready for use,” the message on the Whitewater Ski Resort website said.

“We will be offering 20 per cent off our full ticket rates until the Glory Chair is in operation.”

Snowpack is set at 126 cm to start the season.

Fresh Tracks Cafe and Coal Oil Johnny’s Pub will be opening with the full menu, including a delicious selection of fresh new items in the Whitewater Lodge.

As well, the Snow School Adventure Centre will also be open for lessons if you want to start the season off on the right edge.

“Early Season conditions will apply, so please ski & ride with caution.”
