Three people have been charged after RCMP in Dawson Creek seized more than $100,000 in drugs and cash during a five-month trafficking investigation.

The seizure came in late February when RCMP executed six search warrants that were issued under the CDSA (Controlled Drugs and Substances Act). These warrants included four residences, one vehicle and a local business.

As a result of the coordinated searches, police seized a large quantity of drugs, cash and property.

“The estimated street value of cocaine and heroin seized is somewhere around $45,000,” said Cpl. James Rutledge of the Dawson Creek Drug Section.

“We also seized $60,000 in cash, a Ford F350 and we were able recovered a stolen handgun.”

This investigation continues but charges of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking have been laid against Jordan Hambler, Rebecca Burr, and Alicia Farris.

Dawson Creek RCMP credits community tips as a reason for the success of laying charges in this investigation.
